Frequently asked questions:

COVID-19 Procedures?

If still necessary for the 2021 Spring Season, the league will do its best to follow all appropriate COVID-19 procedures. More information will follow closer to the start of the season.

How long is the Spring Season?

Our season typically runs from early March to the first week of June. Some of our players may have games throughout the summer.

When are games and practices?

Our practice schedules are not created until late February and game schedules are finalized in early March. Practices are held two days a week, once during the week and once on Saturday. Practices will run all the way to opening day. After Opening Day, practices will be scheduled and held at the coach's discretion and will also be based on field availability. Once games start, the schedule varies from division to division, but is typically one game a week and one on Saturdays.

Can my child play Little League and another sport?

This is one of the most common questions we receive. Whether or not a child can play two sports is solely up to the player and their parents. Many of our players play multiple sports and for multiple baseball teams. We will do all we can to make accommodations for players to do both, but we cannot guarantee that there will be no conflicts.

What is league age?

League age is the age that Little League refers to as the players age for the season that they are in. This goes by the players age as of 8/31/2020. For example, a player that is currently 7, who will turn 8 in July of 2020 will still be considered league age 8 even though it is after the season.

Can my child play up or down in a division?

Little league sets the ages and as a league we have our own parameters. A child moving up will typically require some sort of assessment or feedback from a previous coach or board member. Any player that would wish to remain down for another season, is an option we offer, however this is usually only allowed for a player who is 1 year older than the max age. Players may be asked to stay down another year, based on assessments, for safety reasons. All this being said, each child's placement is treated on case by case basis. As a league, there is a lot of over lap and ages to allow players options. If you feel this is something you need to figure out, it is suggested that you email the league.

What are assessments?

Assessments are a day or two event, where coaches and board members assess players registered in certain divisions (minors and up). During assessments players will be asked to complete some basic skills so the players can be divided up equally based on skill level. Assessments typically occur in Mid-February.

Can I help coach or volunteer?

The league is always looking for head coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, field help, concession stand workers and a variety of other things. You can find out more information on volunteering by visiting our website and clicking on the volunteer links on the left hand side of the page under the menu section.

Does the league offer financial assistance?

As a league we offer discounts at certain times of the year and have created our new Sponsorship program that allows our families the opportunity to save money and possibly even get FREE registration. If you are unable to utilize these options, you can reach out to the league to find out more on financial assistance.
